This configuration method requires using a local VGA monitor and USB Keyboard for setting the initial IP addresses.
Connect a VGA monitor to the VGA port on the rear of the iPort HD (F)
Connect a USB keyboard to any USB port (C)
The Basic Setup console is displayed on the monitor.
Set or change the NET 1 (WAN) address
Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to move between fields. Use the BACKSPACE or DELETE keys to remove any old IP addresses. Use the TAB key to change menu options.
Using the keyboard, select item 1,
NET 1 (WAN) settings
from the menu and pressEnter.
Select item 2,
Configure network settings
and pressEnter.
Using the keyboard, set the IP, Netmask, Gateway, and DNS.
Select
< OK>
when finished.Press
Enter
to accept the "WAN settings are updated" notice.Select
<Done>
on the WAN Network Menu
Set or change the NET 1 (LAN) address
Using the keyboard, select item 2,
NET 2 (LAN) settings
from the menu and pressEnter.
Select item 2,
Configure network settings
and pressEnter.
Using the keyboard, set the IP and Netmask. (Gateway and DNS not supported on LAN.)
Select
< OK>
when finished.Press
Enter
to accept the "LAN settings are updated" notice.Select
<Done>
on the LAN Network Menu
(Optional) Web UI Configuration
Configuration must be enabled to allow configuration from the WAN interface. The Web UI configuration menu allows you to enable or disable this option and change the Web UI password. If configuration from the WAN is not required, you may skip this step. Access can be allowed later via the Web interface.
Using the keyboard, select item 3,
Web UI settings
from the menu and pressEnter.
Select item 1,
Enable configuration access from WAN
and pressEnter.
Select <Yes> or <No> to enable or disable access.
Select
< OK>
when finished.Select
<Done>
on the Web UI Configuration Menu.
Similarly, use this menu to set (or Reset) the web UI Password.
