# Can I cluster my Pathfinder CORE Pro with my Windows Pathfinder server?

### Scope

This document covers compatibility questions related to Pathfinder CORE Pro, and the Legacy, Windows version of Pathfinder PC Pro.

### Clustering compatibility

A Customer wants to know, if I have the newer Pathfinder CORE Pro appliance, can I cluster it with my existing Windows Pathfinder Server?

### Answer

No. Pathfinder CORE Pro represents an entirely new, ground-up design. The original version of Pathfinder PC was released in 2004. In recent years customers have asked Pathfinder to support more and more different devices and protocols. This could not be accomplished on a nearly 20-year old protocol.
