SurCode for Dolby Digital Plus does not perform Dolby Atmos encoding. Dolby has not yet made Atmos encoding widely available; Atmos encoding can only be done by a Dolby-approved facility. However, there are several metadata authoring tools that are used to prepare an encode of an Atmos mix in a Dolby-qualified Atmos facility. Dolby Atmos Production Suite is currently the most widely-used.
