Dolby E Workflow Check List:
Make sure your Digital Audio Workstation session is set to 24 bit.
Make sure that no processing whatsoever is being applied to the Dolby E stream, including redithering, gain or sample rate changes.
Dolby E is intimately tied to video frame boundaries, so incorrect offset will corrupt the stream: confirm your offset setting.
Make sure your metadata matches the program and your intended settings.
When laying back, don't forget to set your DVR's audio edit mode to CUT, and that it is in Data or Burst mode.
Also when laying back, play back and decode the Dolby E content off-tape to make sure that it decodes properly & your metadata is correct.
