Scope
This document covers the steps required to enable the rear panel GPIO on the PDM II. The steps here are the same as an original PDM but the number of pins is different between the two.
Description
Beyond the physical wiring of the pins on the rear GPIO port of the PDM, there are a number of steps required to enable, configure, and test. This includes enabling the whole port at the global level, assigning functions to the input and output pins, and then entering the test mode to check your work.
Here is a YouTube video that demonstrates the steps we'll cover here.
Configuring the GPIO
There are two ways to enable and configure the rear GPIO on the PDM II
via the PDM II web page
via the PDM II front panel
We'll cover both here; however, if you have your PDM already connected to a network, the web page is the easiest.
