This document answers the question of how to check for an Omnia.9's presence on the network.
Question
How can I ping an Omnia.9?
I do not get a response yet it is connected properly to my network with compatible network parameters.
Answer
You can't ping an Omnia.9 or Omnia.9 SG.
Ping is intentionally disabled in the Omnia.9 by its creators as a security measure.
Instead, you can add your computer's IP (or a subnet range) to the Omnia's white list located in System / System Configuration / HTTP Access and then you will be able to connect to it's built-in webpage on Port 7380 with a web browser.
