Scope
If you use a third-party AES67 compliant device, you can add it to your Infinity system.
Using SAP to add your AES67 stream
If your AES67 device supports SAP, then Dashboard will automatically see it on the network.
Note that in Dashboard version 1.7.1.3 or OLDER, the SAP or AES67 stream must be in the range 239.192.X.Y. Versions newer than 1.7.1.3 will allow for the entire multicast range. The workaround for this is to add manually in the next section or update your dashboard version if available. Check your Infinity Web Portal for any updates.
Open Dashboard
Click on the Inputs tab in the top-right quadrant
Click on the ADD button on the far right
Click on the SAP/AES67 tab
The SAP/AES67 tab displays all of the SAP-advertised sources. Select the source that you'd like to use, and click on the blue Create button. Your source will now be made available in the Inputs section of Dashboard.
Manually adding your AES67 stream
If your AES67 device does not support SAP, you can still add it manually.
Keep in mind that you will need to know the multicast address of the AES67 stream. The format will be similar to 228.XXX.YYY.ZZZ
Open Dashboard
Click on the Inputs tab in the top-right quadrant
Click on the ADD button on the far right
Click on the Manual tab
From here, you will manually add the stream. You can do this two different ways:
Give the input a friendly name, and enter the multicast address in the Multicast/Channel field
Or, you can enter the SDP information
Some AES67 devices can generate an SDP file. If yours does not, you can manually enter the multicast address.
Some AES67 devices may use a specific UDP port to broadcast the stream. By default, Infinity uses port 5004, and will assume 5004 unless specified. If your stream uses a port other than this, then you would specify this in the Multicast/Channel field. For example: 239.5.96.3:5008
