# How to Register For Xirsys

## Scope

This document covers how to register for Xirsys (pronounced Zur-sis). Xirsys is a company that provides ICE servers as service. Customers can use Xirsys with Beacon SaaS (Telos Alliance hosted Beacon server), or a customer deployed Beacon Server.

Customers are responsible for their relationship with Xirsys. Xirsys is a Telos Alliance recommended vendor. Telos Alliance does not have a partnership with Xirsys.

## Prerequisites

- An email account for registration
- A credit card Xirsys will charge
- A text editor

## How to register for Xirsys

1. Go to [Xirsys.com/plans](https://xirsys.com/pricing/)
2. Select the plan that fits your needs by click the `Select Plan` button

1. Follow the on-screen prompts to register for the Xirsys account.

When registration is complete the account management page will appear. Follow the directions below to get the credentials from Xirsys for Beacon.

## How to get ICE Credentials

ICE is made up of two services called STUN and TURN. Beacon SaaS always requires Xirsys TURN, and may use Xirsys STUN for some implementations.

### Navigating to credentials

1. [Log in](https://global.xirsys.net/dashboard/signin) to the Xirsys dashboard.
2. On the right side of the screen find the button labeled `Static TURN Credentials`
3. Click the `Static TURN Credentials` button
4. Click the `Copy` button
5. Open Text editor
6. Paste the output from Xirsys website
7. Find the word stun. This is the STUN URL. Copy everything between the double quote `"`.
8. Paste the STUN URL on a new line at the top of the document
9. Find the word `username`. Copy everything between the double quote `"`. This is the username.
10. Paste username one line below the STUN URL at the top of the document
11. Find the word `credential`. Copy everything between the double quote `"`. This is the password.
12. Paste the password one line below the username at the top of the document
13. Below `credential` will be `urls`. In `urls` find the url that has port 3478 in the url. Copy everything from the opening `"` to the `?`. This is the TURN URL.
14. Paste the TURN URL one line below the password at the top of the document.

The credentials for Xirsys to connect to Beacon have been extracted.
