# Installation

For Dashboard to operate the program “Telos Infinity” runs as a background process.

The Telos Infinity Process:

- Listens to localhost:5000 and provides the browser server function
- Communicates with Infinity panels, belt packs, and virtual panels over the network
- Communicates with Livewire devices
- Communicates with all other devices in the Telos ecosystem

To begin the installation process, run the most recent version of Infinity available from Telos by clicking on the Windows executable file.

The following window will appear asking you to confirm that the executable is from a reputable supplier, in this case Telos.

Microsoft provides a series of security checks to make sure the executable that your are installing is correct and before continuing you should check that the executable file was provided by Telos and it has not been tampered with.

After the Microsoft security checks, Dashboards installation continues.

Dashboard provides the option of changing the installation path. The Program Files on the C drive is the default installation path. When the destination folder is correct, click on “Install”.

The following window will appear when the installation is complete. Clicking on “Show” will provide details of the programs that make up Dashboard and where they have been installed. Click on “Next” to continue.

When Dashboard has been successfully installed, the window below will appear.

Click on finish to end the installation.

## Testing Dashboard

After Dashboard has been successfully installed, it is normally good practice to reboot the Windows PC.

To test the installation, open a browser, such as Chrome, and enter “localhost:5000” into the address bar.

Dashboard will start and ask for the user name and password (admin and admin).

If the Windows PC is not connected to an Infinity system then all the devices will have a cross in the bottom left hand corner, as per Figure 10.

If the Dashboard installation has been unsuccessful, then a window similar to Figure 11 will appear.

The Telos Infinity process can be seen by clicking on Windows “Task Manager” and then scrolling to Infinity.Server, as shown in Figure 12. Clicking on Infinity.Server and then Telos Infinity will show the status of Telos Infinity.

## Uninstalling Dashboard

If Dashboard needs to be uninstalled, then open Windows Settings, and select Apps.

Scroll down through the Apps to “Telos Infinity Dashboard”, and click on it. Then click on “Uninstall”.
