Scope
This article applies to the Z/IP Stream R/2 and R/20 only, and specifically to units used to stream to Triton Digital. Images shown here will reflect R/20 version screenshots, but the Services and log locations remain the same for R/2 and R/20. This article does not apply if you do NOT stream with Triton.
Description
The Z/IP Stream R/2 and R/20 have built-in streaming components to support Triton Digital. Even though integrated, they maintain their own logs and can be independently stopped and started without the need to reboot the entire unit. You may occasionally be asked by Triton (or Telos) support to restart these services or provide Triton-specific logs. In this document, we will cover how to restart services or download logs just for the Triton components.
Download Logs
The Z/IP Stream keeps several kinds of log files
Media Encoder (non-Triton)
Service Manager (non-Triton)

Triton Digital Services ME (Triton Media Encoder logs)
Triton Digital Services.MP (Triton Media Proxy Logs)
Triton Digital Services Upgrade (non-Triton)
Statistics Manager (non-Triton)
We are going to focus on the Triton-specific logs highlighted in green.
From the web UI of your Z/IP Stream, click on STATUS, then LOGS
Please scroll down the page (about halfway) to the first section that we have highlighted in Green
To download the log file to your computer, click the [gzip] link to the far right of each log you want to download.
Save the file to a location on your computer
Repeat for each log you are asked to send.
Clicking the name of the log (SM-Log 2025-08-01.txt) will open the file for viewing in your browser; it does not download the file.
Logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.
