iProFiler Live Player

Live Player is a program that allow you to listen to a live audio streaem as it's received by the iProfiler Server.

Obtaining the files

1. Click here to download the zip file with the Live Player executable and supporting dll.

2. Extract the files (there are two) to a folder on your local computer.

3. Double click on the iProFilerLivePlayer.exe file to run it.
   

This is not an installer package.  The Live Player is just an executable file and a supporting dll that does not require installation.

Connect Live Player to an iProFiler Server

1. Click the Connect button to establish a connection to the ProFiler server.

2. The following dialog is displayed prompting you for the server address, user name and password:
   

3. Enter a user name and password combination that is valid for the selected server. You may want to check the Remember checkboxes to have the program remember your user name and password for next time.

4. Enter the server address then click the OK button. This address will be provided to you by the server administrator. It should have the following format:
   server_name_or_ip_address:server_port
   There are no spaces anywhere in the address.

5. The program will attempt to connect to the specified server. If successful it will display a list of archives available on the server in the Source drop-down box. If the connection fails, an error message will be displayed.

6. Select the archive you wish to hear then click the Play button.
