# Locking the MTS (Master Touch Screen) On Quasar

## Scope

This document applies to Axia Quasar running versions 3.1 or higher.

## Description

Version 3.1 of Quasar console software added the abiliy to lock the master touch screen (MTS) for cleaning purposes.

> Caution
> 
> When accessing the lock function, a number of other options can also be changed. Take care to only lock the screen as needed and not change other conole settings like it’s IP address.

## Locking the screen

The lock screen option is available by accessing the Setup Options normally not required for operation; therefore, it is hidden.

To access the System Setup page on the Master Touchscreen Module, you need to push **and hold** the "Monitor Options" key (labeled "MON OPT" and located between the two Control Room volume pots) for 5 seconds.

The LOCK TOUCH SCREEN button allows you to lock the touch sensor on the display, for cleaning while the console is on the air. After locking the touchscreen, a semi-transparent overlay is applied to the GUI, with a message indicating how to remove the lock.

The lock can be removed by pressing the leftmost and rightmost encoders below the screen at the same time.
