Scope
This document covers how to provide power to a Fusion (or Element) console, without using a PowerStation or an Element Power Supply + GPIO Node.
The Alternative Power Supply
A Fusion or Element console can also be powered by an Axia Console Power Supply unit (2001-00375) or an Axia Console Backup Power Supply (2001-00277).
Both of these PSU units look exactly the same and are the same size as a QOR.16 engine.
Providing Power
When purchased new, each of these supplies ships with a D-Sub to CANbus 15-foot power cable.
If a new cable is needed because it's been misplaced, contact Customer Support and ask for the price and availability of 1711-00276-100.
If a longer cable is desired, click here for the part numbers and cable lengths available.
On the back of the power supply, the 48VDC OUTPUT is clearly labeled. This is where the D-sub connector is plugged in.
The CANbus end of the cable is then plugged into the ETH4CAN board (on a Fusion) or the power distribution board (on an Element).
Note that this power supply only supplies power to your console. It is not an engine of any type and it does not provide any I/O or GPIO capability.
