# Prevent VX Producer from playing ringing tone

## Scope

This article explains how to turn off the ringing tone in VX Producer when an outbound call is made.

> [!NOTE]
> This procedure will mute other signaling tones as well, such as dial tone and DTMF, from playing out the selected Windows Sound device. It will not mute caller audio.

## Procedure

1. In VX Producer, navigate to **File** > **Settings.**

2. Navigate to **Signals**, check **Mute all signals**, then click **OK**.
