This version does not include enhancements made in versions above v1.0.62. > [!NOTE] > When deploying License Server, it is always recommended to decouple License Server from the host running Telos applications. In other words, run License Server on a separate, centralized Server or VM from the applications it is licensing. This follows best practices, and ensures greater resiliency. ## Prerequisites - `sudo` privileges - A machine running Ubuntu 18.04 - Up-to-date apt package list. Run the following command to confirm. ```plaintext sudo apt-get update ``` - `wget` installed ```plaintext sudo apt install wget ``` - `unzip` installed ```plaintext sudo apt install unzip ``` - Network access to the products requiring licenses - TCP Port “35797” must be open in order for the License Server to work. ## Installation - Download the License Server Installer: ```plaintext wget https://telos-public.s3.amazonaws.com/license-server/masi-license-server_u18.04_1.0.62.zip ``` - Unpackage the file: ```plaintext unzip masi-license-server_u18.04_1.0.62.zip ``` - Change the path: ```plaintext cd install_linux ``` - Run the install script: ```plaintext sudo ./install_license_server.sh ``` The license server has been successfully installed, and licenses can be added to the system.
