What do the markers mean on my Infinity devices in Dashboard

Scope

This document covers the Infinity Dashboard software for both the VIP and Hardware platforms.

These markers tell you the status of each device.

  • (!) The red exclamation mark indicates that the Dashboard software thinks the device is missing from the network or minimally can’t talk to it.

  • (D)The Orange F indicates the device needs a firmware update.  The update could be required for proper functionality with your version of Dashboard.

  • (A) Dashboard is not authorized to access this device.  It could be incorrect user settings in the Infinity Dashboard Software or incorrect password settings on the panel.

Troubleshooting

If you have a Red exclamation mark (!).

  1. Try accessing the Devices web page directly using your browser.

  2. If you recently updated to version 3.0.X on this panel, the software update requires a password to be set (even if you are leaving it blank), and no access is allowed until this step is completed.

  3. Open a command prompt or terminal window and try to ping your device.

  4. Contact support if you can not resolve the issue on your own.

If you have an orange (F)

  1. Check the Infinity portal or contact support for updated versions

If you have an (A)

  1. First, see if you can access the device webpage using the user and password

  2. Contact support if you have a problem resolving this issue.
