Configuring an Infinity Link for Bi-Directional Operation

Each Link codec is designed to be used bi-directionally, and all that is needed to complete this is to repeat the process explained above on each end.

Using the example created above the system is currently only pushing a stream in one direction. To make this connection bi-directional, connect to the device that is acting as the receiver. Now repeat the for setting up a transmitter explained above on this codec. The only exception to the steps is that the codec will not need to be enabled as Operating State controls both the transmit and receive capability. At the end of this process, your Link configuration should look similar to the image below.

With the second transmit end configured, navigate to the link that is currently configured as transmit only. Here repeat the steps to set up a receiver that described above. With this complete, a bi-directional connection will be created. Figure 3 below shows an example configuration using two Infinity Link Gateway devices to connect a studio to a remote location. Figure 4 illustrates how to connect a studio and two remote locations using a single Infinity LInk Gateway.
