Connect to the web interface of an Infinity MP-16, DS-16 or MXP-20 panel that has been licensed with Infinity Link.
Click the Link option at the top of the web page. From the Link configuration menu, select the Link codec channel that you wish to configure. In this example, Link 1 is being configured to receive VoIP audio.
The first step to setting up a Link is enabling it. This is done by opening the “Operating State” drop-down menu and selecting “Enable”. There is no confirmation or apply button, simply selecting “Enable” will activate the Link.
Under the “Audio Configuration” section of the Link find the “Label” field. The “Label” field is used to give the input and output a friendly name that will be advertised to Dashboard or Dashboard Advanced. In this example it is labeled link test.
Next, locate the “Output Channel/Address”. This field shows the Livewire Channel for the audio being transmitted via Link.
To configure this field open Dashboard or Dashboard Advanced. With the software open locate “Inputs” section. In the “Inputs” section search for the output from the Link by typing the value from the Label field into the search box.
With the output from the Link located find the IFB, Group, Partyline, or Virtual Port you would like to route audio out of. With the proper conference selected drag the Link and drop it into the inputs field. Audio will now be routed from the Link into the conference.
With the audio routing complete, look under the “Codec” section and find the “Receive Port” field. This field will be filled in with the port number that the Link will listen for the RTP Stream on. In the event the connection is across a LAN any port may be selected.
If this Link is being used across the internet a port forward is required and the forwarded port is what should be filled in here. In the event that port translation and forwarding are being utilized the internal port should be filled in here.
