Scope
This document outlines the procedure for resetting a 25-Seven Voltair Watermark Monitor & Processor to its factory default settings.
This process works for both Analog and AES Voltair units.
The Process
The Voltair can be reset from the GUI. It cannot be reset from the front panel of the unit.
Log onto the GUI of the Voltair
Click on the UTILITIES tab
Under Maintenance, select Decommission unit
If you’re sure you want to reset the Voltair, select Decommission unit again
A green Success! message should display, noting that the unit will reboot:
The unit should then reboot with factory settings active.
If, after hitting Decommission unit again, the process times out, retry using the same steps. If the Voltair is significantly older and has a too much data that needs to be erased, the reset process might not work. In this case, the unit will need to be sent in to the factory to get reflashed. Contact Customer Support for more information.
