Scope
This document outlines the procedure for resetting a TVC-15 Watermark Analyzer & Monitor to its factory default settings.
The Process
The TVC-15 can be reset from the GUI. It cannot be reset from the front panel of the unit.
Log onto the GUI of the TVC-15
Click on the UTILITIES tab
Under Maintenance, select Decommission unit
If you’re sure you want to reset the TVC-15, select Decommission unit again
A green Success! message should display, noting that the unit will reboot:
The unit should then reboot with factory settings active.
If, after hitting Decommission unit again, the process times out, retry using the same steps. If the TVC-15 is significantly older and has a too much data that needs to be erased, the reset process might not work. In this case, the unit will need to be sent in to the factory to get reflashed.
