Before We Begin
This procedure should be performed only by qualified and approved Telos Alliance Repair Centers. Any damage caused to the StudioEdge, StudioCore, I/O board, or any other components is not the responsibility of Telos Alliance.
If you wish to send a StudioEdge or StudioCore to Telos Alliance, please contact us to receive a Return Authorization number.
During the process of removing the I/O board, please keep track of all screws and washers that are removed, as they will be used when installing the new board.
The Removal
Remove the top panel of the unit by unscrewing the 14 screws (1301-00223 M3 X 6MM PHIL#1 FLT-HD S-STL BLK-OXD), exposing the inside of the unit and the I/O board.

Remove the two screws (1301-00223 M3 X 6MM PHIL#1 S-STL BLK-OX) on each side of the unit holding the rear panel to the chassis.

Unscrew the eight screws (1301-00035 4-40{TYPE-F} X 0.375 PHIL#1 PAN-HD STL BLK-OXD) holding the Mic/Line combo connectors to the rear panel and the two rings (1301-00041 NICKEL PLATED METAL RING NUT FOR HP JACK) holding the headphone inputs to the panel.

Unscrew the eight screws (1301-00077 M3 X 6MM PHIL#2 PAN-HD-SEMS STL ZINC) holding the I/O board to the chassis and gently disconnect the connector holding the I/O board to the Core mainboard.

Disconnect the HP cable that goes to JP1 header on the I/O board, labeled “HP FP”.

Gently pull the I/O board from the rear panel, remove it from the chassis, and locate the two washers (1302-00060 BLACK PLASTIC WASHER FOR REAR HP JACK) on the top rear HP jack.

The Installation
To install the new I/O board, the majority of the above steps can be taken, in reverse order, with additional details.
Remove the three heat spreaders from the old board and place them in the same spots on the new board.

Re-install the two washers on the top rear HP jack (the bottom jack does not have any washers) of the new board and carefully insert the new board into the chassis, making sure that the combo connectors’ locking tabs and HP jacks pass through the rear panel circular holes.

Make sure the new board is flat, alongside the Core mainboard, and connect the two boards together.

Make sure ALL the connectors’ metal flanges are flush with the rear panel of the unit and secure the new board to the chassis, using the eight screws previously removed. Push the board against the rear panel and install the first screw, as shown, then install the remaining screws.

Secure the four Mic/Line combo connectors with the eight previously removed screws and the two HP jacks with the two previously removed ring nuts.
Reconnect the HP cable to the JP1 header on the I/O board, labeled “HP FP”.
Secure the rear panel to the chassis sides by using the four screws (two on each side), which were previously removed.
Reinstall the top cover to the chassis using the 14 previously removed screws.
