After making physical connections to the Omnia XII, you are ready to power up the unit for the first time.
To power on Omnia XII:
Locate the IEC power cord for your location.
Omnia XII ships with two USA/Canada IEC power cords.
Connect AC power to one of the Omnia XII back panel PSU jacks using the appropriate power cable for your location.
Note: There is no power switch.
When the Omnia XII is first powered on, the fans turn on and the front panel touchscreen displays text-based boot status messages followed by some graphics test screens and then the home screen. Home screen metering appears frozen for a while as the I/O board finishes booting up. This is normal. This process may take up to two minutes.
When boot up completes, a green light appears around the knob, the respective PSU (power supply) indicator lights blue, and the STAT (status) indicator lights green.
The front panel touchscreen defaults to its Home screen, which includes:
Omnia XII logo (for access to touchscreen menus)
Touchscreen header that displays bar-graph meters, the current preset, and a headphone level control
Meters: Wideband, St. Enhancer (stereo enhancer), Multi AGC (five-band), Multi Compressor (five-band),
Multi Limiter (six-band), Bass Clipper, Clipper, Final Limiter (L/R), and Sensus

Audio appears at the analog audio and AES/EBU outputs approximately one minute from power-on. Livewire I/O initialization (when present) takes a bit longer.
(Optional, for facilities with redundant power sources): Provide secondary power to the unit via the other PSU connector.
Proceed to Navigating and Using the Front Panel to learn how to use the touchscreen graphical user interface and how to configure your network settings and various basic Omnia XII controls.
To power off Omnia XII:
Remove the AC power cords from the unit.
