Using Quay In Portainer

Quay Accounts

Quay is a registry for storing and building container images. It is used extensively in the deployment of new Docker images within VIP. Both new and old Docker images are available via the Quay repository. To receive updated software (or Docker images) for your VIP system, quay.io registration is required and your credentials must be entered in Portainer.

For more information and for help setting up a Quay account, please see "Registering for Quay.io".

Enter Quay Container Repository Credentials in Portainer

Entering you quay credentials in Portainer allows the images that the containers run to be securely retrieved and updated  so the latest images are always available in your system.

To use Portainer to download containers from Telos Alliance quay.io repository, the Quay.io container registry credentials must be added to Portainer.

Access Portainer.

In the left most Portainer menu scroll down to the Administration section and click on “Registries”. See below.
