Telos Zephyr Connect is a containerized multi-codec gateway that enables transport of multiple channels of stereo audio across any QoS-enabled IP network, including MPLS, Metro-E, and SLA backed DIA Internet – perfect for large-scale distribution of audio to single or multiple locations.
When hosted on a cloud provider, it's perfect for cloud to ground transport, paired with an on-prem deployment of Telos iPort High Density, or another instance of Zephyr Connect running on suitable hardware.
Zephyr Connect is a workhorse, configurable with any combination of up to 64 bi-directional MPEG or AAC codecs, or uncompressed streams. Enhanced aptX™ is an available option.
Coding algorithms include AAC, AAC-LD, AAC-HE v2, MP2, MP3, optional Enhanced aptX®, or linear PCM. Zephyr Connect offers dual, parallel-path streaming for redundancy. Up to 20 unidirectional GPIO contact closures per codec are available in several modes to allow considerable control flexibility. End-to-end GPIO is supported for each codec. An optional Content Delay feature allows independent local storage and schedule delayed playout of any coded audio channels.
