Welcome to Linear Acoustic AMS
We know you're anxious to get your new hardware up and running, but first, please take a moment to register your product online. Registration activates the warranty and is the best way to assure you will get quality support should you have questions regarding installation, operation, or troubleshooting.

Installation
AMS is a 1RU product intended to be permanently installed in a standard 19½” equipment rack and secured with four standard rack screws. It is fan-cooled with air intakes and exhausts located on the side of the unit just behind the front panel, but whenever possible, it is recommended to leave 1RU of empty space above and below the unit.
Note - AMS is fan-cooled. During boot-up, the fans run at full speed and can be quite loud. They will slow down (and quiet down) once boot-up is complete, but AMS is designed to be installed in an area where fan noise will not be an issue.
Power
AMS has no power button and will automatically power on and boot up when connected to AC power. Remember that while redundant supplies do protect against the unit losing power in the event of a PSU failure, the loss of mains supply voltage is a bigger concern. Accordingly, each supply should be fed from a different circuit equipped with adequate surge protection and fitted with an uninterruptable power supply (UPS).
Note - If you are only connecting one power supply, remove the other supply (either fully or partially) to avoid a power supply alarm condition.

Network Configuration
Except for the initial network setup, product setup and configuration will be done using a web browser. AMS ships with network addresses pre-configured as follows:
NET 1
IP Address (static): 10.10.2.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.10.2.1
DNS: 10.10.2.1
NET 2
IP Address (static): 192.168.2.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: None
DNS: None
If these addresses fit your network scheme, you can connect to either network and proceed with the configuration. If not, please see the below for the Alternate IP Address setup.
Important - Do not connect both network interfaces to the same network. Doing so may create confusion as to which interface to use to reach a specific destination.
Alternate IP Address Setup
Connect a USB keyboard to one of the rear panel USB ports and a VGA display to the VGA port. <<FUTURE: NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS DISPLAYED WHEN CONNECTED; IS IT THE SAME AS Z/IP STREAM R/2? OR MAYBE VX Enterprise?>>
Connecting Through the Web Interface
The initial hardware configuration is now complete, and the rest of the configuration is accomplished through a web browser from another computer on the network as AMS.
Enter the IP address assigned to AMS (either the Net 1 or Net 2 default address or the manually-assigned address if the defaults were changed).
