2001-00635 StudioCore + CAN
2001-00636 StudioCore + CAN with Dual PSU
Description
The AES/EBU Inputs and outputs are shown as item 10 on this image. AES/EBU Outputs are on the top connector. AES/EBU Inputs are on the bottom connector
All connections are fully described in the Quick Start Guide
The RJ45 connectors for AES/EBU Inputs and outputs on the StudioEdge and StudioCore only partially use the StudioHub wiring standard, as they carry all three available AES/EBU channels on a single connector.
Wiring
When using standard RJ45 adapters that follow the StudioHub standard, the first two AES/EBU Inputs and the first two AES/EBU outputs are available via the Left (AES/EBU1) and Right (AES/EBU2) connectors
If the third AES?EBU channel is needed a custom cable will be required. As of this writing this cable is not avilable for purchase from any known suppliers.
The AES/EBU inputs and outputs use the first three pairs of the RJ45 connector.
In the TIA/EIA 568B standard, that is;
Pair 1 - Orange pair - Pins 1 & 2 (AES 1)
Pair 2 - Green pair - Pins 3 & 6 (AES 2)
Pair 3 - Blue pair Pins 4 & 5 (unused)
Pair 4 - Brown pair - Pins 7 & 8 (AES 3)
In the TIS/EIA 568A standard, that is;
Pair 1 - Green pair - Pins 1 & 2 (AES 1)
Pair 2 - Orange pair - Pins 3 & 6 (AES 2)
Pair 3 - Blue pair Pins 4 & 5 (unused)
Pair 4 - Brown pair - Pins 7 & 8 (AES 3)
Regardless of the cable standard used, the direct pins are shown here.
Note the pair on pins 4 and 5 of the RJ45 are not used
