Activating a License for a Paid Option

Some of the features in Omnia XII are available as a paid upgrade only. Once purchased, your dealer will provide you with a license code that enables (unlocks) the use of the feature. Until unlocked, the feature appears as disabled in the UI and may display a “license not found” message.

To activate a paid option license (when Omnia XII is connected to the internet):

  1. In the Omnia XII web UI, navigate to the Settings menu.

    For information on launching the web UI, see Setting up Omnia XII System Software.

  2. Click the Licensing tab.

  3. Add a valid license in the Licenses field.

  4. Click Add License.

  5. Reboot the unit.

To activate a paid option license (when Omnia XII is not connected to the internet):

  1. Navigate to the Omnia XII license page: https://secure.telos-systems.com.

  2. Enter the license code for the paid option and press Submit.

    A dialog with an activation request string displays.

  3. Copy the request string

  4. On the license page, paste the request string and press Submit.

    A dialog with an activation reply string displays.

  5. Copy the reply string and close the dialog.

  6. In the license page, paste reply string, and then press Submit.

    You should see a notification that the process is complete.

  7. Repeat the above steps for each additional paid option.

Omnia XII Paid Options

Omnia XII μMPX Encoder License: Adds Omnia μMPX (micro MPX) encoding with two output streams, allowing you to transport a compressed MPX signal at bitrates from 320 to 576 kbps to a μMPX Decoder over an IP link. Up to 16 unicast or Multicast streams are supported (via Omnia XII μMPX - 2 Additional Output Stream Licenses). Bandwidth requirements vary based on stream type and number, bit rate, and error correction settings.

Omnia XII μMPX - 2 Additional Output Stream License: Adds two additional MPX output streams (for a maximum of 16 streams). This option requires that the μMPX Encoder License is already installed.

Omnia XII Nielsen Watermarking License Option: Adds Nielsen watermarking to the Omnia XII Audio Processor. One license must be purchased per unique program input. Individual CBET codes must be obtained from Nielsen or its affiliates.

Omnia XII Kantar Watermarking License Option: Adds Kantar (Fifty5Blue) watermarking to the Omnia XII Audio Processor. One license must be purchased per unique program input. Individual codes must be obtained from Kantar.

Omnia XII IPSOS Watermarking License Option: Adds Ipsos watermarking to the Omnia XII Audio Processor. One license must be purchased per unique program input. Individual codes (tokens) must be obtained from Ipsos or its affiliates.

Omnia XII Stream Receiver Option: Decodes incoming audio streams for your primary or backup broadcast source. This option includes native support for Super Hi-Fi HLS+ services and routes stream metadata directly to the Omnia XII’s RDS system. Future updates plan to include support for other stream types, such as FLAC, MP3, AAC, and Icecast / Shoutcast,  (including metadata routing).
