Scope
This document covers how to configure a running instance of Telos Alliance Spotlight SaaS. Configuration includes initial login, setting the username and password and connection to STUN and TURN servers for ICE services.

Prerequisites
- The URL to Spotlight SaaS has been supplied.
- Credentials for ICE Services (STUN and TURN Servers).
User Account Setup and Initial Login
- Type the provided URL to access Spotlight SaaS in your browser of choice.
- A Screen titled "First Login" will appear. Press the
continue
button.
- Fill in the fields on-screen to create the admin user.
NOTE: Telos Alliance recommends the use of complex passwords and password managers. This service could be accessible from either portions or all the public internet, based on the IP ranges provided during setup.
- When the sign up screen is complete press the
Save
button. - The login screen will appear. Use the credentials that were just created to fill in the username and password fields.
- Click the
Log in
button.
The user account has now been created and the dashboard of Spotlight SaaS is now displayed.
Setting up ICE Service
- Find the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click
Settings
.
STUN and TURN servers need to be added uniquely to Spotlight Server. Spotlight SaaS can support one STUN Server and multiple TURN Server.
Configuring a STUN Server
By default, Spotlight SaaS ships pointed to a STUN Server hosted by Google. Telos Alliance recommends Google as a reliable default.
SpotlightSaaS only supports a single STUN Server. To change the STUN Server click the trash can icon next to the Google STUN configuration to remove it.
- On the Settings page, locate the
STUN Server
section. - Press the
+
button next to words "STUN Server".
- A pop-up will appear. Fill in the credentials for the STUN server Spotlight will connect to.
- When complete click the
Save
button.
An alternate STUN server is now configured and in use.
To reset the STUN credentials to the Google STUN server at any point follow the steps below.
- On the Settings page locate the
STUN Server
section. - Delete the STUN server configured by clicking the garbage can icon.
- Press the
+
button next to words "STUN Server". - A pop-up will appear. Press the
Use Default STUN
button.
This will automatically populate the Google credentials and apply the change.
Configuring a TURN Server
Spotlight SaaS requires at least one TURN Server to operate.
- On the Settings page locate the
TURN Server
section. - Press the
+
button next to words "TURN Server".
- A pop-up will appear. Fill in the credentials for the TURN server Spotlight will connect to
NOTE: If Xirsys is the TURN provider, follow the linked directions to learn how to get the TURN credentials.
- When complete click the
Save
button.
A TURN Server has now been successfully added to Spotlight SaaS.
Creating Additional Users
- Find the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click
Users
. - On the Users page click the
+
symbol next to the word "Users". - A pop-up will appear. Fill in the user credentials in this pop-up.
- When complete, click the
Save
button to create a new user.
Difference between User and Admin
Admin
- Has permission to change settings and manage users.User
- Has only permission to access invitations.**
Software Update Management Disclosure
Telos Alliance automates update management of Spotlight SaaS instances. Updates are installed every Sunday between 1am-3am local time. We use a 2 hour window to accomodate daylight savings times changes. Most updates will not interrupt production.
