An Introduction to Omnia XII Presets
Omnia XII includes a collection of factory presets that provide optimized starting points for different program formats and operating styles. In many installations, a factory preset may require little or no additional adjustment. If needed, you can customize a factory preset and save it as a user preset without modifying the original.
From the Omnia XII web UI, you can adjust factory presets using basic or advanced control sets in the web UI. See Making Basic Processing Changes with Quick Tweak to make common adjustments without using the full processing interface. See Making Expanded Processing Changes for information on every available control and setting, if needed.
While each factory preset is read-only, any adjustments you make can be saved as a user preset. User presets can be backed up, shared with other Omnia XII systems, imported, or deleted as needed.
Selecting a Preset
Begin by auditioning several factory presets while listening to your typical program material and noting their differences. Then select the preset that sounds best as your starting point and listen to it on as many different types of radios as you can.
Important! When changing between the various presets, allow some time for the newly loaded preset to settle in, since there may be some large parameter changes happening depending on the previously selected preset.
Selecting a preset can be done remotely using the web UI or from the front panel touch screen.
You can find a list of all factory presets, with a short description for each one, in Omnia XII Factory Presets.
To select a preset (using the web UI):
Launch the web UI.
Click FM / HD Processing.
In the header, make sure the PROC tab is enabled.
This provides meters in the first panel and, in the middle panel, the preset list together with the Presets, Quick, and Expanded buttons.
In the middle panel, make sure Presets is selected on the far right side.

Browse to the desired preset.
Note: In the factory preset list, presets are organized in three groups (75us, 50us, and None). You can scroll through the list (left or right) by using the middle scrollbar or a mouse wheel. Additionally, you can type the beginning of a preset name in the Search box (located in the middle panel header), and then press Enter to see search matches.
Click (highlight) the preset to select it.
The Current Preset display (in the middle panel header) updates to show the selected preset.
You can now begin adjusting the selected preset, if desired.
To select a preset (from the front panel):
In the touch screen, press the Presets menu.
In the Presets page, press the Factory or User tab to display the respective list of presets in the presets box.
Scroll through the list of presets in the box by using the front panel knob and stop when the desired preset is displayed.
Turn clockwise to scroll down the list; turn counter-clockwise to scroll up the list.Press the knob to select the preset. Alternatively, you can press the preset in the preset box.
Saving a User Preset
After making adjustments to a factory preset, save your changes as a user preset. You can then use the user preset as-is or continue refining it over time.

Factory presets cannot be modified directly. To preserve your changes, save them as a new user preset.
To save a user preset:
Hover over the floppy disk in the middle panel header of the PROC page, and then click Save As.
In the Save As dialog:
(Optional) In the Preset Name field, enter a custom name.
By default, the name is User_ followed by the current preset name.(Optional) In the Notes field, enter any notes you want to be stored for the user preset.
Click Save.
The Current Preset display (in the middle panel header) updates to show the new user preset. The factory preset from which the user preset was created remains highlighted in the preset list.
When you later select that factory preset, the Current Preset display includes a menu of all user presets derived from it. Likewise, selecting one of those user presets lets you switch to any of the other user presets created from the same factory preset.
Exporting a User Preset
After you have created a user preset, you can export it to share with other Omnia XII systems or as a backup. User presets export as a .json file.
To export a user preset:
On the PROC page, hover over the floppy disk icon in the middle panel header and click Export.
In the Export Preset dialog:
Click the Preset Select… drop-down menu and click on the user preset you want to export.
Click Export.
The preset is saved as a .json file to the folder on your computer drive configured for download files.
Importing a User Preset
You can import a user preset that was previously exported from an Omnia XII system.
To import a user preset:
On the PROC page, hover over the floppy disk icon in the middle panel header and click Import.
Choose the file to Upload and upload it.
Deleting a User Preset
Prerequisite: Ensure the preset you want to delete is not the current preset in use.
To delete a user preset:
On the PROC page, hover over the floppy disk icon in the middle panel header and click the trash can icon next to the user preset you want to delete.
In the Delete dialog, click Delete.
Omnia XII Factory Presets
Omnia XII is equipped with a selection of factory presets that can be used to instantly configure the processing for common applications.
Some of the presets have format-based names. Do not interpret these names too literally. It is entirely possible that you may like a preset named CLASSICAL_PURE (or like it enough to use it as a starting point) for a smooth jazz station.
When you hover over a preset name, you can see a short description of the preset.
The preset list reflects the presets available when this documentation was created. Presets may change in future software releases.
Presets are displayed in the web UI in three horizontal sections, and in alphabetical order in within each section:
75μs (75 microseconds): Presets using the 75μs pre-emphasis setting.
50μs (50 microseconds): Presets using the 50μs pre-emphasis setting.
None (Flat): Presets with pre-emphasis disabled.

BOW_SHOCK: Patterned after Omnia.11 Bow Shock Growl
CCM: Good for contemporary Christian formats
CLASSICAL_1: Louder than CLASSICAL_PURE, slightly more colored

FUNKY_TOWN:
