Adding Panels to Infinity Dashboard

Prev Next

Initial Configuration

Telos Infinity panels ship from the factory unprogrammed. When first powered up from the factory, the DHCP will be enabled allowing the Panel to work in dynamic-IP mode. To put the panel into use it must be assigned a static IP address for the Primary AoIP network and the Secondary WAN network. Each panel must be programmed with the IP, Mask, and Gateway (if applicable) addresses and the DHCP must be disabled if a static address is preferred.

Note - Note: This next section refers to Telos Infinity Dashboard. Dashboard is the software product used to program and configure Telos Infinity systems and is available at no charge with a new system. Dashboard software updates are free as long as there is a current SLA in effect. Dashboard installation and operation is described in detail within a dedicated section elsewhere in this manual under the section “Dashboard Software”. Dashboard does not have to run for your Telos Alliance Infinity intercom to work. It is used for configuration of the intercom panels and parts of the larger Infinity system.

Configuration of hardware panel IP addresses is best achieved using the front panel “setup” menu. From the front panel, press the menu button, denoted by the icon shown here.

When you enter the menu you will see several options. Press Setup / Network and then use the DHCP Enable/Disable button to disable DHCP and press ‘OK’ on the lower right key. Then press the IP Address key where you can now enter an address using the up/down arrows for each octet.

Enter IP Address

Select ‘OK’ to enter the chosen address, and then enter Network Mask and Gateway details respectively. Press OK and Exit the menu

Enter Network Mask

Once the IP, Mask, and Gateway addresses have been programmed, it is possible to configure some elements of the system using the front Panel configuration tools, but it is much more convenient to provide setup connecting via Dashboard or via the panels own web page, which can be accessed by entering the IP address into a Web browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge.

Important Note: Before Dashboard can detect and communicate with a new panel it is necessary to enter the default system or unique device password via the panels own web page.

Let’s assume that Dashboard has been installed and is running on the network, scanning for new devices

In the image below you can see the initial ‘Set Password’ screen that is displayed upon entering the IP Address of the panel for the first time. In this case the panel has an IP Address of 192.168.30.45

Unless a unique system password or unique device user name has been set, Dashboard will have a default of User Name ‘user’ and a blank password. field. Press the red OK button and confirm the action

You will then receive a prompt enter the Username (‘user’ in lower case) and Password. The panel Home Page will open on your browser.
