What's New in 2.0

Prev Next

Pathfinder Core PRO 2.0 brings together everything from the pre-2.0 beta work and 1.10, a new web interface, a new panel designer and Logic Flows editor, and Key9 licensing. This page summarizes the changes; each item links to the manual section that covers it.

Licensing

  • Key9 licensing replaces the previous license keys. Licenses are activated against the Telos license server, with offline activation for hardware units and custom license servers. A license health monitor warns by email before features expire or when the server cannot be reached. See System.

  • To move from 1.x, update to 1.10.12 or later, add the Key9 license there, then install 2.0. From 2.1, installing an update also needs a current support agreement (SLA).

The Web Interface

  • A new dark design, with the navigation bar grouped into Automation, Devices, Messaging, Routing and Audio, and System. See Overview.

  • Dialogs and messages appear in the page, editors open over their lists, and lists gain multi-select toolbars.

  • A System Status dashboard with startup state, trends, network, services, banks, time and licensing at a glance.

  • UI Options to color the banner and name the browser tab, so systems are easy to tell apart.

Automation

  • Logic Flows editor redrawn: a canvas with an Inspector, undo and redo, live activity, search, snap and auto-arrange, shared links between views, and saved positions. New Use FIFO Queue, Delay bypass values, and recursion detection on panel bindings. See Logic Flows.

  • Panel Designer replaced: undo and autosave, alignment and size matching, layers, pages as tabs, a bindings drawer, aliases, custom themes, latching buttons and new components. Panels saved in 2.0 cannot be opened by 1.x. See User Panels.

  • Block Execution stops parts of the event system from running, for maintenance or testing. See Block Execution.

  • Memory Slots: a new Array type, numeric operations (Round, Multiply, Divide and others), editing values from the list, and SetTimeStampPlus. See Memory Slots.

  • Scenes: read-only and authoritative scenes, disabled items and item mutability. See Scenes.

  • Property Groups: disabled groups and items, Force Sync Retry, and object-based property groups. See Property Groups.

  • Timers: an Event Timezone for Day of Week and Date/Time timers. See Timers.

Devices and Routing

  • Rest API devices support Basic, Bearer/JWT (static or fetched from an authentication URL), API key and Digest authentication. SCTE-35 readers pass cue messages to Logic Flows. Telos Pulsar units are recognized. See Devices.

  • The virtual GPIO node can advertise itself on a floating IP for devices that only find GPIO through Livewire advertisement.

  • Routers: clone virtual and SAP property routers, split audio across several Axia audio routers by IP range, lock or unlock a whole router, PulseOnMount and ExecutePattern on SAP property routers. See Routers.

  • Device Emulators: TCP clients can check for a success reply and reconnect, and a Probel General Router Silence type reports silence. See Device Emulators.

  • Audio Alarms: system-wide silence and clipping thresholds, with per-IO overrides. See Audio Alarms.

  • Vmix Control redrawn with touch-safe faders, fade times, meters and a connection indicator. Inputs can take the engine's internal sources (programs, record, phone, aux sends) as well as external Livewire sources. See Vmix Control.

System and Security

  • Users and Security Groups: rights are set on security groups, which also map LDAP and Active Directory groups directly. Emergency Access lets chosen users log in when LDAP is down. See Users.

  • Clusters: each node is shown as a card marking the node that runs the event system; Override Primary chooses that node; and a backup node without its own license inherits its primary's Key9 license. See Clusters.

  • Container: Pathfinder Core PRO can run as a Docker container on a Linux host. See Container.

  • Backups: retention policies, global exclusions and automatic scheduled backups, and selective restore. See System.

  • Static routes, SupportLink, grouped Advanced Options, and NetTools (ping, netstat, nslookup, traceroute, telnet) in the web interface.

  • Log tools: search across every log, summaries, a timeline around any moment, saved searches with new-match counts, support bundles, and benign marks for expected warnings. See Logs.
