Front Panel Operation (AERO.2400 Only)

Front Panel Navigation

The AERO.2400 front panel navigation cluster is comprised of a rotary encoder and four navigational arrows:

  • Left Arrow - Works as an "Escape" button by moving one step backward in the menu structure toward the main menu.

  • Right Arrow - Works as an "Enter" button by selecting the highlighted option and moving one step deeper into the next menu or sub-menu.

  • Up Arrow - Moves up through the menu tree.

  • Down Arrow - Moves down through the menu tree.

  • Rotary Encoder: Adjusts selected parameters

Unlocking the Unit

When AERO.2400 powers up, the front panel will be locked. The default factory password is "1234" (minus the quotes).

  • The "Password" field is normally highlighted upon powering up; if it isn't, use the up and down arrows to highlight it, then press the right button to select.

  • An on-screen keyboard will appear; use the rotary encoder to highlight the numeric keypad ("123"), then press the right arrow.

  • Use the rotary encoder to navigate to each character in the password, then press the right arrow.

  • Once you have entered the password, press the down arrow to highlight "Unlock," then press the right arrow to select.

Once the unit is unlocked, the main screen will be displayed. By default, most of the display is devoted to various meters, and a relatively small portion is reserved for the menus. This layout works well for normal use, but for the initial setup process, enlarging the menu section will make navigating the menu easier:

  • Press the up and down arrows to highlight "Menu Options" at the bottom of the menu, then press the right arrow to select.

  • Use the rotary encoder to maximize the size of the menu area.

  • Once the initial setup is complete, you may return to "Menu Options" to reduce the size of the menus and increase the portion of the display devoted to the various displays.
