Hardware Overview

AERO.20 / AERO.200 Front Panel

  • Power LED (A) behind the Telos Alliance logo indicates the unit is receiving power from one or both power supplies.

  • Front panel display (B) shows the current software version, host name, and IP address, along with the unit's time and date settings.

  • USB port (C) for performing software updates and downloading loudness logs.

AERO.2400 Front Panel

  • Power LED (A) behind the Telos Alliance logo indicates the unit is receiving power from one or both power supplies.

  • Front panel color display (B) shows input and output meters, processing activity, loudness meters, and other customizable parameters in addition to various menus.

  • Rotary encoder and arrow navigation cluster (C) allow for front panel setup and configuration.

  • 1/4" headphone output jack and volume control (D) allow for local audio monitoring.

  • USB port (F) for performing software updates and downloading loudness logs.

AERO.20 / AERO.200 Rear Panel

  • Auto-sensing 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and outputs (A) provide access to all eight audio pairs for each applied SDI signal, including de-embedding and pair shuffling at the input and re-embedding and pair shuffling at the output.

  • AES-3 inputs and outputs (B) for up to eight input and output channels.

  • AES Reference Input (C) to provide an external (dark) AES reference.

  • Vref Reference Input (D).

  • GPI/O DB-15 connector (E).

  • IEC power inlets (F) for redundant auto-ranging power supplies.

  • Control Ethernet Port (G) for connecting the unit to a local network for remote setup, control, monitoring, and logging.

  • AoIP Ethernet Port (H) for connecting the unit to an Audio over IP network, such as AES67 in support of SMPTE ST 2110-30, or Livewire®.

  • Encoder Output (I) for feeding a Dolby® Digital (AC-3) or Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) encoded signal to external devices.

  • LTC Timecode Input (J) - Not currently used.

  • IEC Chassis Ground / Earth Connection Stud (K) provides a dedicated return path to Earth ground.

AERO.2400 Rear Panel

  • Auto-sensing 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and outputs (A) provide access to all eight audio pairs for each applied SDI signal, including de-embedding and pair shuffling at the input and re-embedding and pair shuffling at the output.

  • AES-3 inputs and outputs (B) for up to eight input and output channels.

  • AES Reference Input (C) to provide an external (dark) AES reference.

  • Vref Reference Input (D).

  • Monitor AES-3 I/O DB-25 connector (E) provides eight additional AES-3 input and output channels and eight channels of audio monitoring.
