The Telos Alliance Infinity Matrix-Free intercom has proved to be an innovative world leader in distributed AoIP technology. Each Panel, Beltpack, or Livewire+™ AES67 audio service running on a PC, announces its configuration to the rest of the network, removing the need for manual intervention. The configuration database is held locally on each device so that it can easily establish connectivity with the network and all the other devices, even after a power outage.

Although each Panel and Beltpack can be locally set-up using its own keys, the Dashboard software provides a simplified global configuration tool. Running on a Windows™ PC, Dashboard automatically detects and downloads the configuration database from every Intercom device on the network to deliver simplified system configuration.

As well as implementing complex IFB’s, Groups, and Partyline configurations, Dashboard goes one step further and provides deep maintenance facilities such as device testing and software upgrades. Using any mainstream browser, the highly intuitive GUI achieves simple drag-and-drop functionality to set-up and show the global status and configuration of every device on the network.

Not only does Livewire+™ AES67 deliver high quality broadcast audio, it also has a command and control system built into the protocol. Using Livewire+, GPIO’s are distributed over the same IP network as the audio and Panel control to deliver high-speed distributed GPIO controls.

Livewire+™ AES67 goes a great way to simplify and abstract away the underlying LAN and WAN from the user. IP addressing, PTP synchronization, and multicasting are all covered by Livewire+™, but understanding networks helps users design and build much more efficient systems. This manual helps users build on their knowledge and as well as explaining the operation of Infinity, also helps explain IP networks, especially those used in broadcast television.
