The Telos Infinity INF-MXP-20 ships from the factory unprogrammed. For the system to operate in static-IP mode, each Panel must be programmed with the IP, Mask, and Gateway addresses and the DHCP must be disabled. When first powered up from the factory, the DHCP will be enabled allowing the Panel to work in dynamic-IP mode.
Note - The next sections refer to Telos Infinity Dashboard. Dashboard is the software product used to program and configure Telos Infinity systems and is available from V2.0 as a free product called Dashboard Enterprise. Dashboard Enterprise is aimed at users who want regular live access to the devices but is equally suitable for users who require ad-hoc occasional use. Its operation and installation is described in detail within a dedicated section later in this manual under the section “Dashboard Software”.
Configuration of the IP addresses is best achieved using the front Panel “setup” menu and then the Dashboard software can be installed and run on a PC. During installation, great care must be taken to make sure IP address ghosting does not occur. That is, each device on the network must have its own unique IP address.
Once the IP, Mask, and Gateway addresses have been programmed, Livewire+™ AES67 automatically detects and registers connected Livewire+™ AES67 devices.
Note - Although it is possible to configure the system using the front Panel setup via the Dashboard software is much more convenient.
Please see the “INF-MP-16 Master Panel” and “Dashboard Software” sections for more information and to familiarize yourself with Dashboard before proceeding.
The Telos Infinity INF-MXP-20 is designed to work together with a Telos Infinity INF-MP-16 Master Panel. More than one INF-MXP-20 can be partnered with the Master Panel.
Expansion ports may be connected directly to the network or daisy-chained from the previous INF-MP-16 and INF-MXP-20 devices in the chain. However, it is important to note that the INF-MP-16 and INF-MXP-20 devices do not provide Power Over Ethernet.
Both the INF-MP-16 and INF-MXP-20 devices can be powered directly from the external 12VDC supply, but if full power design resilience is required then separate PoE Injectors must be used.
Alternatively, both the INF-MP-16 and INF_MXP-20 devices may be connected directly to the Ethernet switch with power capabilities.
