The Telos Alliance are leading experts in Audio-Over-IP and introduced the first integrated AoIP protocol, Livewire+™, in 2003. Livewire+™ has since become Livewire+™ AES67, a fully compliant interoperable standard that is the only one of its kind to meet all qualifying criteria of the AES67 specification. As well as providing seamless IP audio integration and device registration, Livewire+™ AES67 delivers broadcast-quality audio and is now at the core of the industry-disrupting Telos Infinity IP Intercom system.
Taking innovation one step further, Telos have now completely removed any need for a centralized matrix for the Telos Infinity IP Intercom. Leveraging IT networking solutions such as multicast and IP routing, combined with high speed digital signal processing, Telos have delivered a system that is fully distributed and resilient.
There are no single points of failure and Infinity takes broadcast resilience to new levels. Furthermore, Infinity is completely flexible and expandable. Using 1000Mbps Ethernet ports, each Infinity intercom Panel can perform more audio processes than would be feasibly required in most broadcast applications.
As there are no additional matrix cards to buy and configure, expanding the intercom just requires the addition of Panels, Virtual ports, or Beltpacks to the IP network. User configuration is a simple task of setting up the preferences using the Panels menu mode and contact keys, or with the intuitive drag-and-drop Dashboard Windows-10 optimized software.
Integration is key to all Telos Alliance products, consequently, the Telos Infinity IP matrix-free intercom is completely compatible with other Livewire+™ AES67 devices in the Telos Alliance range. For example, an Axia mixing console can be used to create a mix-minus that will appear as an input directly in the Dashboard software allowing Infinity to easily create IFB circuits available to all Panels and Beltpacks. Furthermore, external AES67 streams from 3rd party devices are presented as native parts of the Virtualized system I/O and can form part of the communication ecosystem.
This manual is designed to help readers new to IP to understand the basic concepts needed to make Infinity work quickly over an IP network. The Dashboard software section takes the reader through a step-by-step process of configuring a simple system, demonstrating the basic concepts required to quickly configure a Telos Infinity IP intercom solution.
